The Rotary Club of Thorpe Bay held its fourth Annual 6-a-Side Football Tournament on Sunday 26th June 2011 at Cupids Country Club, and was supported by 14 teams from Local Business and Football Teams. In addition to the Tournament there was a separate Match for people with special needs, bringing with them a good number of supporters.

It was a fantastic turnout, with some excellent football played both in the Tournament and the separate Match and on an extremely hot day. We are very grateful for the continual support from the Teams, the Referees who give of their time, the Supporters and lastly Cupids Country Club.

Comet - The Winners of the 6-a-side Football Tournament 2011

In the Tournament, Dedman and Comet were up against each other at the final, with Comet taking the Thorpe Bay Football Trophy back again with them after a 2-0 win. The amount raised for charity this year is expected to be over £1500.00.

We aim to repeat this event in 2012 so keep an eye on our website for more details then enter a team to play for the Rotary 6-a-side trophy. We look forward to seeing you at our fifth Charity Football event and promise to give your team a good day in return.
